Grobnik Castle is located at 466 m above sea level, right next to the church of St. Filip and Jakov in the City of Grobnik. The construction of the Castle began in the 13th century and over the years it was constantly changed and modernized. The last magnates who built on Grobnik were Zrinski, thanks to whom the Castle was rebuilt and expanded with protective walls. It is a very popular destination, precisely thanks to regular renovation and maintenance, and is home to many fun and cultural events in the municipality of Čavle. Due to its location, it is never too hot in this place. A light breeze is present all year round, so it is even necessary to wear long sleeves on summer evenings. From the walls of the castle there is a fantastic view of the mountains, meadows and landscape of the surrounding villages and it is a wonderful backstage for beautiful and special photos of the newlyweds.
Arriving to Castle, there is no need to use any means of transportation because the church and interesting positions for civil weddings and taking pictures are close by, and the enjoyment can continue until the morning hours with dancing and entertainment.
